Maybe if I had never left the shrine, it wouldnt have happened
I made my way through the Wind Temple easily. Back then, there were no monsters or traps.
The large, circular room was now before me, but
something was odd about it
The floor was covered with sand.
Welcome, pesky Wind Sage! A voice boomed, making me jump. Your prayers no longer reach the gods, so you attempted to come here to pray, correct?
I couldnt answer. I thought about escaping, but a sage should never run. Instead I jumped down into the now sandy pit. As I look back, I notice that that wasnt one of my greatest ideas.
You wish to challenge me? Fine then, my little pet should take care of that nicely. A snap.
The ground began to shake. I stumbled, but stayed standing. What was I doing, facing a monster with no weapon in my hand?
A whirlpool appeared in the center of the room. Soon after, a horrible creature erupted from it with an ear-splitting screech.
Arise, Molgera! In Ganons name, slay this puny sage!
At first I was frozen with fear, for there was no way for me to climb back up to safety. So I obeyed my second instinct run. I bolted to the right, my small body pushing itself harder than it ever had.
I heard the monsters roars from close behind me. I know that my life would soon be over, but I was not about to give up.
I had forgotten that energy is not unlimited. My legs burned as if engulfed in flames. As a last resort, I dropped onto my chest.
The monster sailed over me, but not without raking my back with its razor-like fangs.
I shrieked in pain as I felt my flesh being torn from my body, Molgeras teeth tearing me apart.
Its tail slammed into me, sending me flying forward. I landed on my back, and winced in agony as the sand entered my open wounds.
Molgera headed for me once more, jaws opened wide. I could see down its throat, a few of its bottom teeth dripping with my blood. It lowered its head, its bottom jaw disappearing beneath the sand.
My body began to lift up. I felt the joy of flight for about two seconds, before I noticed a giant fang slicing up through my torso.
I no longer felt the urge to panic. A second fang came down on me, burying itself into my chest.
All breath was stolen from my lungs. My world began to fade. I heard sickening crunches as my young body was crushed between the jaws of a beast.
I prayed to the gods. Prayed that Ganon would take no more lives.
It was my final prayer.
